I'm going to go out on a limb here to suggest that the pervasive mood of gloom and doom is just a bit excessive. Yes, I know full-well what's going on. No, I haven't taken leave of my senses. In recent weeks, we've suffered injustice at Stamford Bridge but bounced Tottenham from the League Cup and trounced Leicester—but this is all bookended and overshadowed by back-to-back losses in the Champions League group-stage. Add in a clash against Manchester United, refereed by Anthony Taylor, and the only ingredient missing from a disastrous recipe is Old Trafford.

The Dinamo Zagreb result was a huge shock to Arsenal and their supporters. It was an abysmal performance capped off by a stupid red card to Olivier Giroud who will miss tonight's match against Olympiakos. The Greek side are familiar foes which could work in the Gunners' favour and with two back to back wins, including a return to convincing finishing, you'd be forgiven for thinking Arsenal are favourites.

They're undefeated. They've scored more goals than most anyone else in the Prem to date. They beat West Ham, who beat us. The maths, in fact, look bleak. Arsenal 0-2 West Ham; West Ham 1-2 Leicester. Add in another 2-1 victory over West Ham in the League Cup, and the inescapable conclusion is that our visit to King Power on Saturday will end at 4-1 to the Foxes, if not worse.
