Analyzing Arsenal's needs, squad options and players

People ask how are we going to fit Jack, Aaron, Ozil, Cazorla and Cesc in our team without dismantling Ozil’s #10 position, here’s an answer, the best players, the players in form will play, not the one’s that you like. Players earn their place, no one has a guaranteed starting place. We need options and depth, Cesc will add that and with him potentially signing he would boost the team’s morale and will improve us. We can change formations but players who earn their place will start no matter what their name is or how potentially good they are. I’ve settled for no one else other than Schneiderlin for our defensive midfielder this summer.  I want him at our club badly.

Moving on I won’t assess our attacking midfielders but will mention and talk about my boy, Jack. He has huge potential and is definitely England’s and Arsenal’s future. He has already set the standards in this county and will become even better but for his development to go in a rather good way, he will probably be shifted onto the wings more often in the upcoming season as it improves the game reading ability and the decision making in tighter spaces, as it did with Aaron. Aaron had his breakthrough year and now it’s Jack’s time and I truly believe that this will be Jack’s breakthrough year and he will boss it once again just like he did 3 years ago.

Moving on our attacking options, strikers and wingers, we have Theo, Chamberlain , Sanogo, Giroud and Podolski. Honestly, this isn’t and it shouldn’t be a striker force of a title contending team. Theo, Chamberlain, Giroud and Podolski are all brilliant yet few fail to see Olivier’s and Lukas’ brilliance when we dominate. We are perfect with Theo and Chambo and their services to our striker are great but we need and I mean we desperately need a goal-scoring left winger more than we need a world class striker upfront. Someone like Griezmann or Sanchez would improve our team for another level. They add pace, width, depth and provide assists plus goals throughout one entire season.

Podolski’s a bit lazy but his movement has improved and he can be deadly, he scores, he assists and he is clinical but he is better off as a squad player because he lacks pace and that is the issue with him. Moving on to the majorly hated but my beloved, Olivier Giroud, yes, I rate him and I value him as the player he is today.

Fans, Arsenal fans, fail to realize that they are asking him to do something that he simply can not do with his physique and his style. He holds the ball up well, has very good link up play and he tears defences apart with runners around and behind him. That is the key to his form and success, he needs runners otherwise he is average.

Yes, at the start of August, September, October, Giroud was one of the best in the world at that time and had a bit of world class mark over his name. Fans give him stick for not scoring but he can’t score without runners and in that case we don’t need a world class striker, we just need someone with pace, that can create chances on his own, that can run at, through and behind defenses, someone like Remy. Fans want Benzema, I want him, I rate him but really Karim? He ain’t no different to Giroud, same style but a bit more pace, not much better than him and he p*sses me off because he isn’t a game changer and that is a fact, he isn’t as good as he was at Lyon.

Give me stick for this on Benzema but he isn’t the right one yet. Let me tell you something, we WILL NOT sign a world class forward this summer because we don’t need one and Arsene knows that. Giroud can play in a 4-4-1-1, a 4-4-2, a 4-2-1-2-1 and a 4-1-2-1-2 formation without any problems. Giroud dominates and bosses it in a 4-2-3-1 formation with runners around/behind him. After seeing how well Giroud does some stuff for us, I realized that we need a decent back-up for him or two, yes, I’d take two back-ups for Olivier and I’ve made a conclusion that with a proper rest and a proper backup for him on the bench,  Olivier can win us the title without any major problems. Yes, you read well, my friend, Giroud can win us the title.
